The crackling of the loudspeaker startled Wanda awake, quickly uprighting herself from being slumped in the seat she was in. Warily she glanced around at the other passengers, using the sleeve of her jacket to wipe the sweat beading from her brow before removing the two jackets she was unfortunate enough to be wearing.
As the train came to a screeching stop, Wanda waited and watched as the other passengers hurried to leave. While she wasn't in a hurry to be anywhere, she decided to skim the surface thoughts of those around her, which caused her eyes to glow a faint red and her head to tilt to the side slightly. It seemed that some, if not most, of the passengers, were just as confused as she was about waking up on a strange train.
Now that she was the last passenger on the train, she stood from her seat as she draped her jackets over her arm and made her way toward the nearest exit. She groaned as the intensity of the suns hit her, immediately regretting wearing boots and all black. Using her hand to shield her eyes, she slowly made her way towards the information booth the spotted, accidentally bumping into someone along the way.
"Sorry," she said, her voice wary and thick with her native accident as she started to pull away but paused, turning back to the person she bumped into. "Excuse me, but where are we?"
NIGHT
Wanda found herself completely captivated by the night sky, standing off to the side on one of the streets, her mouth slack with awe. A chill ran through her, caused by the suns setting and the temperature dropping drastically. Even if she wasn't thankful earlier since she was sweating to death, she enjoyed the warmth and comfort from the black zipper hoodie she slid over her chilled arms.
"I've never seen anything like this before," she said in disbelief. It was mostly to herself, but anyone nearby could hear her. "Is the sky always like this at night?"
The last time she witnessed such a spectacular night sky was in Sokovia since heading to New York with the Avengers made seeing any stars impossible with the light pollution from the city. Remembering Sokovia brought back a surge of emotions that she did her best to push down, now wasn't the time to deal with them.
